My Work Immersion Experience
I am John Jannus L. Cruz from 12-Integrity taking General Academic Strand(GAS). This is my experience so far in my work immersion at Bustos Elementary School.
Our teacher met with all grade 12 students days before the immersion proper. On that day, we are divided into groups and choose a leader for every group.
April 2024 is the day we start work immersion here. We entered early and waited for our teacher to introduce us to the principal, Josefina Q. Cruz. We introduced ourselves one by one and were assigned work. I am assigned to the canteen.
One of my tasks at the canteen is to sell snacks, on the first day of my sales here I was still confused and didn't know what to do but on the second day I learned the tasks and techniques of what I was doing, There were so many children and they were beautiful they watch while buying at the canteen. We entered the canteen at 7:00 am until 11:00 a.m.
During the village hours, we incessantly sold goods and did the work assigned to us. After our break time, we go back to our places and since I am in the position of selling cold food and in my seasoning I make sure that what I do is clean and orderly.
And because it's so hot, the kids don't have school, so they only study through online classes. While they were off, our Work Immersion Partners helped clean the office We set the tables and organized the trophies.
On April 16-17, I was assigned to assist the demonstration groups, what I do there is to take pictures of each demonstration teacher, and sometimes I help them with their carry-on items.
During our 6 days of immersion in school, we have learned a lot, the first of which is how to get along with people we don't know and have a good connection with them. Our immersion grade is based on what we show and how we learn from what we do.
